Run of the Mill
RUN OF THE MILL started in Chapel Hill, NC in 2003 and was founded by mandolin player/singer/songwriter Ben Parker and Banjo player Ben Walters. The addition of Robbie DiMauro and Tim Shelburne added a dynamic contrast to the group that created the music of RUN OF THE MILL.
Inspired by bluegrass, jazz, funk, rock and blues, RUN OF THE MILL takes traditional music above and beyond expectations. They are dedicated to playing inspiring music and shows all over the southeast, with roots in the Triangle area of North Carolina.
Because their music is so versatile, RUN OF THE MILL are able to play in any setting ranging from a mellow afternoon barbeque to a post-game bash. Though they are a young band, they play with passion, dedication, and inspiration that is rooted in musical complexity.
In the words of the band themselves, We are Run of the Mill, but are, by no means, run of the mill.
