Idles Of Our Kind

It was on the raw streets of colwyn bay that Idles or our Kind started out in early 2006, as Peter Jones and David hudson, who played guitar together and enjoyed making music. Back then the two man band was known as Walking Inversions, but it wasn't to be a two man band for long as Davids friend Perry from Eirias high school joined the band as the drummer. Now these guys had fun for a while, never doing anything to serious and "keeping it real" as hudson likes to say it, until later in the year, Matt, or "Mr. Bassman" joined and pumped it up a notch with his seriously groovy tenor tunes. Still known as "Walking Inversions", the band enjoyed doing mainly covers and playing to old people who really disliked everything ... as old people generally do. It wasn't until late November that the band started to take off, when Joe Devine joined the foursome to make it five. Now with Pete able to concentrate on his singing whilst Joe took over his position as Guitarboy, the songwriting comenced. After a few weeks the band had writen four solid songs and played their first gig as a fivesome band at MASE just after the new year. The opened up the band night with four of their own written songs and The classic cover they always play at gigs, Blink 182 - all the small things. Stunning crowds with their masculin figures and amazingly amazing music the band enjoyed the rock and roll lifestyle of walking back and fourth from colwyn bay with heavy guitars so they could practice for free. A dream come true for any musician. And thus, Idles of our Kind got off a great start in the local music vacinity. Idles of our kind our currently writing more songs, agressively selling their EP "Lips and Tongue" (for just £3 so buy it from us NOW), and are looking to the stars with aspirations for world domination in their minds. It's on world! It's on.
